jquery slideshows?

I have a client who likes the slideshow on this page, and would like it on his website. I know that jQuery has some image transitions like this available in their libraries but i have very limited experience w/ jQuery (plan to spend some more time this evening learning it, though), was just curious if anyone on here had ever used it before and if I needed to know anything going in...
I am currently using images w/ thumbnails but am wanting to come up with something similar to the link i posted. Any suggestions / help is appreciated.
