add new lookup item on the fly

I recently upgraded to 5.2 and edited an existing page. Now all of the fields that had the add new values on the fly option selected do not function properly. When that link is clicked, another instance of the add new page is opened, rather than the add new value window.
I tried turning off that option, saved the project, then edited and added the function back and still get the same results. Is there a known fix for this problem?

Jim,
it' is new Add new item to dropdown box as a fully-featured add page in popup feature.

If you want to remove unnecessary fields of lookup table uncheck it on the add page on the Choose fields tab.

Is that an option somewhere? I do not see that anywhere.

This is not an option - this is the way how it works.
I recommend to post your application to Demo Account and send the URL to support@xlinesoft.com explaining what doesn't work as expected.
