Hi,
I am trying to use the Publish via FTP feature. We have a proxy server to connect to the Internet and the Web Site is on a Web server hosted by a 3rd party ISP. I have tried various options but always get Network Error when trying to connect.
I can successfully connect and transfer files using Filezilla.
I have used the Demo Account before to publish a web site and that was successful. The Publish via FTP has seting for a firewall, whereas Publish via Frontpage and Demo Account have proxy setting. I don't think that the web server has frontpage set up on it.

You're probably better off just using a regular FTP publishing tool to upload your files. Many of us are having trouble getting it to work with very simple set ups.

Gordon,
there is a "Use firewall ..." check box at the left bottom corner of "FTP location properties" dialog.

I guess this is what you looking for.
