Split screen for view documents

I would realy want to have a list page for my documents to view them in a splt screen.
Now my docs (all pdf) open in a new page.
Is it possible to make a 'split' screen page where you can list all the docs from a client at the right side of the screen and when you click on one, it opens in the left part of the page?

Unfortunately PHPRunner can not do this for you.
This task can be accomplished using some simple PHP script or application.

However it has no connection with PHPRunner.
