As the title and description say. I did not see a way to comment out code using the template language. I want to change code in the template, but leave the original there, for reference.

Can I just put HTML Comments around the blocks I want to comment out?
I'd like to suggest, adding something like
For multiline comments -

< - Begin of comment area

> - End of comment area



and

! - Single line comment
