Add New Values on the Fly

Hello All,
I've setup a field to use a "Lookup Table". My problem is the option "Allow to add new values on the fly" is grayed out and can't be selected. What causes this?

Hi,
the Add on the Fly option is not available when you have Custom Expression selected in Display field or when you use WHEREexpression in the Lookup wizard.
