Auto-update fields. How do I use this feature?

One of the features in version 4.2 is: "Auto-update fields. Automatically insert a value into field every time record is updated (UpdateBy, UpdateTime, IP address of user etc)".

It's just an old 'default value' feature (used now() for date or else). Now it's available on both add and edit pages (checkbox). That's new. I find it very useful because you avoid writing events.

From where (or how) do I reach this checkbox?

You chose the field in the visual editor, you click 2 times, chose 'edit as', and you see this checkbox as well as the original field to enter the value (for ex., now()).

This feature is already existed in 4.1. In fact, I compared between 4.1 and 4.2 "edit as" pages, and they are completely same.

Not at all. You missed the absence/presence of this famous checkbox besides the field to include default value. At least, it's what I see in my 4.1 and 4.2.
