php file to add many records at once

Hi! I have in the past been able to upload a file [from my personal home PC] of records to my database using phpmyadmin but for some reason I am now getting a 'bad response from server" error. I would like to have another way to accomplish the same task.
I want to create a php file that will do this for me from my server - such as when I add a record using the 'add new' form in phprunner - only a 1000 or so records at one time.
Does anyone have a sample they can share?
I would sure appreciate any help!

Thanks Alexey! I will try that. I had not yet downloaded 4.2.

What exactly does "beta" mean?
