generated errors

Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each status value.
I've built a simple db with text fields.
I get the error at the top of the page when adding records.
If I add: 'Learning from the Gosho. The Eternal Teachings. p28' sans quotes it goes in ok.
If I add: 'Learning from the Gosho. The Eternal Teachings. p28-48' sans quotes it gets the above error.
I have tried text box instead of text field and changed the size of the fields.
