Saving Field Name format changes

If you modify the field names in the Visual Edit page - for example from "lastname" to "Last Name", does the project file save this?
I have had mixed results... but most times when I come back to the project, the names were reset to what they are in MySQL (eg. "lastname").

For redefining field names you are better off to edit the "label" column on the "Choose fields" tab.

Wow... as many times as I've used that screen, I've never realized that I could edit the field names there....
