I dont know if this is at all possible but here goes anyways.
I want to create a database of businesses and company information. (addresses, phone numbers, contact names etc)
i want to create logins for each user and a user account, but i also want each user to be able to do the following.
if they log in to their account and do a search for a company (example: tesco plc) i want to provide a option to monitor that company.
I then want to know if this is possible. when i update my sql database with company details, if the address for tescos changes or there is a new contact name or phone number that it will send the user an email saying there is a change with the following company.
i dont want to know how to do this at this stage but just want to know if this is at all possible using asprunner or phprunner and which one would be the best to use.
(please note: i dont want it to only email alerts if you edit the listing through the website itself. as i will be updating all the data on a monthly basis and have a lot of data to upload and update i need it to be able to recognie changes in mysql database or be able to set up a way of uploading the data through the webssite itself.
