Disabling Ajax stops date picker function

Sorry...this was meant for phprunner forum....
Hi Sergey, The other day I disabled Ajax ($useAJAX = false;) in dbcommon to speed up searching (I'm not bothered about the context drop down that appears when you enter search text). This made searching 10 times faster. However I then started getting reports that the date picker had stopped working on my pages. Turns out for some reason when Ajax is disabled it also disables the date picker. I've not found anything on the forum about this which surprised me. Is it something I've done wrong? Meanwhile I've had to rein-able Ajax and having to put up with slower searching.

Any updates on this issue yet? I have the same problem. My users love the date picker but cannot wait on the search suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
