mod_security question...

I am having some issues using phpr today. i am not for sure what the issue is though, i am using it as I normally do. My first thought was to investigate mod_security since we have it installed on our server now. I also ran across this post but not for sure if it's relevant to what I am dealing with: http://www.asprunner.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4714
My problem is that I have everything setup in phpr and my database exists in plesk. I am able to upload phprunner.php into place but for some reason I can't access (or see) the database at all. On the webside using phprunner.php to try to connect the dropdown box is empty? The desktop client isn't able to connect either.
Has anyone else ran into this issue before? If so, is there an include I can put in or modify .htaccess to be able to make it all start working again?
