Trying to make sense of this program!

I downloaded the trial software because I thought it may help me implement some database linked information on my website, but I am having real problems making it work at all.
Perhaps what I am trying to do is way too simple for this program. My client keeps travel tour pricing info in an Excel spreadsheet which is updated regularly according to fluctuations in the Australian dollar against other currencies, as well as other variables. For each of the tours I want to have a simple table that lists all the prices linked back to the Excel file so that any changes in the Excell file are reflected in the various pricing tables on the website.
The problem is that when I load the Excel file in AspRunner and proceed through the setup process I simply cannot see the field information from my client's Excel file in the same way that it appears in your example. Instead of being able to choose column and row information and co-orinates I am presented only with F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, etc, etc. If I accept all the default settings and just proceed with a test then when I get to the end and select "view in a browser" I get this error message: "The page cannot be found"
The program sounds like a really good idea, and I am a would-be willing buyer, but as a non-programmer I am struggling to get my head around the concepts. I think you need someone less immersed in 'geek-speak' to write your user manual for more simple web developers like us. If I can figure out how to use this program I can think of many other applications... but I need help.
Help!!

Allan,

I believe it would certainly help the community here if you were a little more specific about your environment. <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=reply&id=1914&image=1&table=forumreplies' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

ASPRunner works great, but you have to make sure the infrastructure is in place. I'm guessing this may be your problem.
I have never tried to use ASPRUNNER with an Excel Spreadsheet, but I'm sure there is a way to do this.
My questions would be:

Specifically, what error does the browser show ? a HTTP 500 ?

What webserver are you using?

Where are you posting the ASP files?

Have you tried to import your Spreadsheet into an access database ?

Are you sure you have the active server page feature enabled on your webserver?
regards,

bronoman
