I tried with the beta version and there are two software bugs I found:
a) The inline edit/add will require to select edit/add first. If only inline edit/add is selected without selecting edit/add, records won't be updated or added.

However, there is no problem with version 5.0. I use the same table.

The inline edit looks fantastic, however a couple of things i've noticed:

  1. You can't inline edit any existing records in the table. You can only inline edit new ones you've added.
    Furthermore, try this:
    Click inline edit on existing records

    The Tick and Back icons are displayed (but you can't edi)

    Click the Back buttons ("Error on page" is displayed in bottom left corner of browser)

    Click inline edit on same record again and the EDIT screen is displayed (not inline editing)
  2. Inline added records dont have any css / mouse over / colour styling until page is refreshed.
  3. Once a page a refreshed, any newly added records cannot be inline edited.

Chris,
advanced search issue will be fixed in the next version.
I'm not able reproduce the error with inline edit when regular Edit page is turned off.

Just in case make sure you use the build 297. If this error still there post your app to Demo Account and send me an email with the URL and steps on reproducing the error.

I'm not able to reproduce this either. Post this to demo account and drop me an email with the URL.
In regards to the new records not having CSS assigned - this behaviour is by design. Probably we'll be able to find a way to assign correct CSS class to added records.
