Creating non editable pages not requiring log in

Hi, I have just started looking at PHPrunner with particular project in mind. I need to create an admin or update area for a client so that they can keep their product list update. This part I have no problem with. However I also need to create list and view pages that are non editable. These are just for viewing by customers on the main site and I don't want them to have log in to do this. Is this possible or how would I go about doing it? Sorry if this question has been answered before, I have searched and can't seem to find it, or perhaps I have missed something in the standard help information?

Hi Kate,
Fairly easy solution. On the Datasource Tables page, create a custom view of the table(s) you wish to display without a login. Then on the Security page, do not check the "Create login page" box (as you may have surmised). On the Choose pages page, select only List and/or View and/or Print. The resulting "view" will carry all the attributes of the original table such as heading descriptions, field order, etc. I am not certain if custom changes made via the Visual Editor page will go over as well.

Sorry Kate!
Seems I misinformed you. I forgot the Login option is universal to all pages created within a project. My original answer is about 75% correct except: all should be done within a new project. I would suggest you upload the generated files from this project to a separate folder on your server to eliminate any possibility of like named files stepping on each other.

If I'm right, you can select: "Add "Login as guest" with readonly access" option on the advanced security section. You can then add a link/s to the list page anywhere you like in yoyur website and the users will be able to see these pages without having to go through the login page. Obviously they wont have any editing options then.

Thanks a lot to both of you for your replies. Yours Stephen, creating the guest login page with no editing privilages works perfect for what I need. I have an up to date list page that I can link to anywhere on the site. With a little more fine tuning I should be able to achieve what I need.
