Search with two different values

I was wondering if Build 212 had a way to search by two variables. We wanted to set it so you could sort by an event and a gender but I know no way to do this. I read something in another post about using some global strings and stuff but I didnt quite understand it all. I was wondering if someone had done thing and could help me out.

just use Advanced search page to search by two fields.

Yea, I think I will just tell them to use that. It works just the same to me. Thanks for the input.
