chained dropdowns

I already am a registered phprunner user and am trying asprunner.net. In chained dropdowns, I notice that after you select from first dropdown and you know there is only one possible choice in second dropdown (customer phone for example), in asprunner.net you still have to click the dropdown arrow to choose it. Whereas in phprunner, if there is and can be only one choice, then the value is already displayed. Any work-a-round for this.
