The Truncate large text fields(more....link) option is not working at all, no matter what you set the charactors to display setting. It was working before I updated to build 171, from 169

Mel,
make sure you don't use Rich Text Editor on this text field. More ... option won't work on fields that store HTML.

I used the Rich Text Editor on this field when I did the first "build" of the php code, but then I changed it back to just plain text. Is there code "left behind" when you make changes? If so, how would I fix the problem without starting from square one. I will take a look at the code and see if I can see the HTML tag that is keeping the more... from showing up.

Mel,
you only need to select nothing for this field on the "View as" settings dialog on the Visual Editor tab.
