New Build Broken?

Ever since updating a few days ago I have been having problems. Projects lost, and I get a message that says "You have opened a project created by an older version of program which don't have project directort assigned. Click yes to choose a project directory".
Then no matter what I do, I get that again the next time I open it. Even if I navigate to the directory and open the project by clicking on it.
I am running build 165. Ideas to salvage this project? Quite a bit of it has been lost, but some is still there.
Thanks - ST

Hi,
when you open an old project it is copied to the folder you selected.

Next time open your project from the folder you selected, not from the original location.

Hi I already did that. Regardless of whether I browse to this project and then open it, or open from the menu, it makes no difference. After updating and saving it always asks the same question again next time.

Hi,
make sure you don't have any other PHPRunner project files in the folder you select.

Each project should have it's own directory.

Is that what is causing all this data loss suddenly? We have lost about 3 days work at this point, after projects starting reverting to previous states. All of our custom event code was lost. We routinely make multiple backups of each project in the same directory as a precaution. Will this be fixed in a future release? Thanks - Steve

You cannot have more than one project in the same directory.

Do Save as and save a copy to another directory.
It looks like project file was overwritten or you still open older project file instead of new one.

Steve,
you can not lose data if you have several projects in the same directory.
You will be prompted to select a project directory each time you open the project however all the changes will be saved.
Please give me detailed step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the project data loss.

Hi,
I changed too many things at once to be able to reproduce the problem anymore. I updated to the latest build 171 and created another folder for backup instead of keeping copies in the same folder. Then I recreated all the events and visual attributes, and am crossing my fingers. I will post again if the problem resurfaces. Only clue I can give you is that on several occasions the project popped up an error message (sorry I forgot exactly what it said) to the effect that there was a problem and to "check the pages if they didn't look right" (or something like that) and I think at that point various customizations were lost. Thanks - Steve
