document upload icon display

Love 4.1 and the ability to edit the html templates live via Frontpage, but here is a problem I can't seem to fix:
I use the document upload function and it works fine, but the list page displays the file name as a link, not the icon that should display. Very annoying.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

This behaviour is by design.
Why do you think it should display an icon?
Probably you confusing document upload with database file edit type.

I'm using the database file option, as instructed here: http://www.xlinesoft.com/asprunnerpro/arti...inary_files.htm
It works fine in pages built using 4.0, but not 4.1. I did make the mistake of setting the "View As" option to Database Image once, but caught that mistake and used the Database File option and re-built the pages. The application allows me to upload pages on the edit page, but displays the file name as a hyperlink, not the file icon I would prefer. I can send the stuff to you if you like. Thanks.
