How hide Updated Selected Button

I want to be able to have a button that processes rows that the user selects. I created a custom button and should be able to handle that part.

The issue is that in order to have the checkboxes appear on the list page, I had to tell PHPR to use Updated Selected. How can I hide that button?

Also I think Corrie did a video on what I am trying to accomplish including the new button being disabled until something is selected but I sure can't find it.
