The general problem for individual developers to win clients on larger scale
long termed projects is to somehow gain trust and confidence by same into
what we call in Germany a "One-Man-Concert" which, if that one man gets
seriously ill (the now no longer existing longer break by health issues by the
PHPRunner Tipps & Tricks provider named CORRY from South Africa directly
speaks on the issue) or worst, suddenly dies in e.g. a car accident, is causing
the client's question who shall then provide support ?
Exactly that very uncertainty is influencing the decision making by the majority
of cllients to only look for "larger companies" in regard to wished web solutions.
With focus on coming v11 which, as far as I understand it, provides multi-user
abilties on per project to be developed under application server and being so,
might be a way out of the "one man concert" problem explained once the
subject on let us 14 days intervals is happening with that virtual space to simply
in first instance is to act to let single developers find an experienced partner who
is ready, willing and able, to appear as let me say as a "second drummer" addition
to "one man cooncert" based projects to overcome the suspicions by clients they
would be get lost somewhere some time later on in regard to more or less 24/7
support issues. The virtual space in its smallest version has no cost, no need to
drop personal information like e-mail address and name by registration and can
be of course useful for any else discussions, though the optical shape provided
is comparatievly low, however the built-in functionalities (e.g. speaker room and
"design of the "forum house" to needs along with PHPRunner topic tables to go
under more or less "only the sky is the limit", might be a way out for the German
users to form a kind of mutual benefit rooms.
At this opportunity, I have a personal issue called "2FA" via USD hardware dongle
to throw into such virtual room or say, I have bought such dongle license in 2011
and tested its PHP login script fully, say, it works. That, if thought to the end goal,
would mean, a "second drummer"'s login credentials coudl be laid down into such
dongle hardware to act as a physical substiute key to get handed over either to
same or the client for onward transmission to anyone else being suitable to take
over the project support in case of unforeseen developments.
In simple terms, no plugged-in dongle, no chance to run project development.
As v11 is yet to come, an answer on this issue is definitely NOIT in a hurry right
now at all, yet the general idea to form a German Forum this way remains.
