Hide Search Panel from Gear not working when using Horizontal Search Panel

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but using PHPR V10.8.

I changed to use a horizontal search panel by dragging Search Panel to a row above the Add button. Just like is shown on an example I found.

I would like the user to be able to hide and show the Search Panel. I do want to show the search panel when first opening the page and it does do that.
When the user goes to the Gear button, and selects Hide Search Panel, it doesn't do anything.

Thanks

An update. If I don't select "Freeze Search Panel" everything works and it will hide, but while it is shown it has the extra "Search In" bar at the top which I don't want.

Is it possible to use "Freeze Search Panel" and still have the hide work, or if the Freeze Search Panel is unchecked is there a way to remove the Search Ij bar?

Thanks
Alan

'Freeze search panel' option is meant to display the search panel at all times. This is just what it does.

Is there a way to turn off the "Search In" bar then?

or remove the "Hide Search Panel" from the Gear button drop down since it's not going to do anything?

I can just remove the Hide Search Panel option from the Gear.
That will work perfectly.

The Hide Search Panel keeps coming back. I'll probably have to wait until a PHPR update that gets rid of it, since it can't actually do anything when the Search Panel is Frozen
