When new users register, there is only 1 place for their password and no password verification field. Is this normal or am I missing something somewhere?

No, this is not normal. Try this.

  1. Proceed to 'Registration and Passwords' screen, click 'Choose fields', then simply OK.
  2. Then proceed to Page Designer and create a new Register page. You should be able to see both password fields there.

I did that, and for some reasons, the confirm-password field was still missing. I saw that the reinsert deleted elements button was present, and as soon as I clicked it, it reappeared. Weird glitch.
