T Tempus_Erus author Hi, Can anyone guide me in what should be a straight forward solution. Every time I get close I lose all logical argument <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=question&id=26978&image=1&table=forumtopics' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> .... which generally means I over complicate matters! I have a 'Personnel' table. Linked to this is their training records (training). Each personnel has varying amount of training that is mandatory. A record that is mandatory is naturally flagged the training records. I need to get the total mandatory training requirements for each personnel. So wen I go into personnel records a field details a number which is a COUNT(*) from the associated training record. I believe this should be at the list before process stage but I need to get the relevant 'key' and update the record I am about to list .... Any guidance much appreciated as always.... 	Fully got your point of view, say, you are more likely practising this: You wanted to enter a nice RESTAURANT, asking for the finest meal in town, citing yours "Can anyone guide me in what should be a straight forward solution.", to then sneak around the cashier, proudly publicly boasting, you succeeded to cheat. Okay, if that strategy works for you, I have NO problem with that, yet as time goes by, you shall definitely discover the BIG difference anyway, commercially speaking. Good luck and best wishes to get blessed in straighforward business anyway.
