PHPRunner Tips and Tricks

This advice applies to all Runner family: PHPRunner, ASPRunner.NET and ASPRunnerPro. We found two main reasons why software may be running slow.

  1. Antivirus, firewall, BitDefender and similar
Make sure that antivirus software doesn't prevent PHPRunner or its components (NodeJS) from running properly. Turning off antivirus temporarily should quickly tell you if this was the issue.
  2. PHPRunner uses Internet Explorer components installed at your computer, issues with IE may cause problems. Talking to our customers who had similar issues with poor performance, and it turned out the caching in IE was turned off. Resetting Internet settings fixed everything.
Launch Internet Explorer, under 'gear' menu choose "Internet Options".

Other Internet Explorer related options:

  • Remove any Internet Explorer extensions you might have installed
  • Update Internet Explorer to the latest version

For me, i was using Windows 8 with a low ram and CPU, it killed me with all the waiting, i just replaced one with Windows 10 with 8 gig ram from a friend who gave me free from his office's retired Notebook.
I tried it and it was 200% faster. To get the full benefit of ver 10, it is worthwhile to have a good performance PC, even a used one. it saves time and it makes you more efficient.
