Emailing Added/Updated Records

Hi, I'm new to ASP and after building my application want to be able to email a new record to a specic user.

Each user has a line manager, when a user creates a record that needs line manager approval it should be emailed to them. I cannot work out how to do this - any help gratefully recieved!

I recommend you to use Events in ASPRunnerPro 4.0 to achieve this..

Not sure if I have seen this before....
What would I enter in Events, if I want an email sent to a an email based on a field in a table?

Alan,
In BeforeAdd event build a SQL query that pulls manager's email from the database. Use retrieved email value to send an email.
Better yet retrieve manager email after user logs in and save it in session variable which you can use to send an email .

Any chance of a quick button in version 4.1 that does soemthing like this?!? ;-)

I have a table (employees)that contains an agents email(Email) . A lead is assigned to an agent. and on the add record I want to send an email to the email field.
Is this specific enough to help me with what to put in the table events, Add page, after record added?
I could always sne dyou anither copy to view if that helps.
