View record in popup from menu

Hi All,
I want to click on a menu item to view a specific record in a popup - the same as popup view of the record from a list page.
This is useful for a FAQ page that I want directly on the menu.
EG view record http://localhost:8085/faq_view.php?editid1=1
But in a popup, not on the record page. Any ideas?
