Dashboard Error after edit/save

I have a dashboard with a grid view set to refresh every 60 sec and a record view with view,edit,add. When I add or view a record all works as should however when I edit then save the record I get a "Server error occurred. See details" when I click on details, there is nothing there.
Known facts:

The corresponding add,edit record works fine, just not from dashboard.

Tried a custom view and got the same results.
Any ideas, thoughts?
