Can dashboard elements be edited?

Hello -New to PHPRunner, and primarily interested in building dashboards. I'm using version 8.1 with MYSQL.
I've set up a dashboard with several grid and detail elements and would like to be able to edit the individual fields within each section of the dashboard. In other words, I'd like to make field 1 have width X and field 2 have width Y, etc...
It seems like the overall record (yellow box in the editor) can be edited for height and width within the dashboard section, but not the size, details of the individual cells that make up each record.
Is this true? I couldn't find much in the documentation or previous posts specifically about this.
If so, any tips for the most efficient way to vary column width, etc.. within the individual dashboard elements?
