Hi Everyone,
I have a couple of questions regarding Phprunner 8:
~~32 and 64 bit versions

I have downloaded both the 32 and 64 bit versions in the link, but both files are identical?~~ Sorted Out - Thanks cristi
Open Existing Screen

How can I get the "Open Existing"screen of Phprunner 8 to show my recent projects? It stays blank after I have opened and saved a couple of Projects. Sorted out - You need MSIE 11
Create new project

I only see the "Blank Application" when looking at the help file, it seems that there should be more options like: Paypal, Sporting, Cars, Classified etc... I have tried PHPrunner on another pc, and on the other PC it gives the following error: "Line 139 on firstpage.js - object does not support this property or method." This seems to be browser or javascript related. Also Sorted out - Need MSIE 11
PDF View

In a previous project, I used the PDF view option. It now asks for dompdf, which I downloaded and installed. I removed html2ps which was used previously. During the build Phprunner gives an error: unable to process file : plugins\html2ps ....
Does phprunner 8 require both dompdf and html2ps?

For 64 bits version I fixed this like for 7.1: I added an 64 at the end of the link before .exe so the end of the link should look like this: phprunner80-std-setup64.exe

The 64 bit version downloaded and installed without any issues.....
However when I try to run PHPRunner, I get the following:
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line : 54

Char : 2

Error : Object doen's support this property or method

Code : 0

Url : .............wizard/firstpage.js
I am running windows 7 Professional 64 Bit.
Similar errors also pop up when I am moving between screens in my project - for instance when I try to test the dashboard.

The same thing happened to me when I installed phprunner on a vmware test setup - are you running the application on local (physical) machine or some kind of virtual machine???

I am running it on a physical machine with a reasonably new windows installation - Windows was installed a week or two ago.
If you had a similar problem on a VMWARE test setup then the problem is probably related to some Windows update that is present on your machine, but not on the VMWARE test system....
What Windows version are you running? Service Packs etc...?

Hi Christi,
It looks like my idea was correct:
Updating to Windows 7 SP1 made no difference, but ...
Updating to Internet Explorer 11 seems to have fixed all the .js errors:

  • Home screen is ok... no errors.
  • Latest projects are listed
  • Dashboard works.
  • Navigation in PHPRunner is ok


Personally I don't use IE, which was why I never really bothered to update it.

You're right...
Now I looked and on the vmware I have windows 7 with default ie - version 8 but on the physical machine i have the latest version (11) - and no problems with phprunner.

I faced the same issue as well. Any idea where can I update IE11 only with ease?
