headingwest,
are you sure that your "cursor" is hiliting a table, a view or an existing custom view in the project tables tree on the left side of the "tables" page?
just my 2 cents

Try to restart PHPRunner just in case.
Is that something that can be reproduced reliably? I.e. if you start a new project - do you see the same behaviour?

OK, I didn't realise that I had to select the table before create a view.

I have also noticed this:
Previously you could right-click on "custom view" and then click on "create custom view". Now it doesn't do anything.
after the last update you have to do the following:
Right-click on the table for which you want to create the custom view, then click on "add custom view"
