Longtext

I am copy gravestone inscriptions to a php database, i have found that when I copy a Epitaph it will not copy and leaves it blank.

I'm using Longtext field do i need to use a different type of text.

example: (Farewell dear friends, a long farewell for we shall meet no more

Till we are raised, with Christ we dwell on Canaan's beautiful shore)
