Style changing issues

For some reason, no matter what I do, I can change or adjust any style component but one.
When I attempt to change the font, text color, background color, etc of items under a "drop down" lst of items under a "tab" (Verticle Menu I think), the changes are recorded, I apply them to the entire project - however when I build the project nothing changes. It's only for this type of "sub menu" that doesn't change. This occurs no matter what project I choose.
Any ideas? I also am struggling to find where the changes are manifested in the final build. I can't seem to pinpoint where the change is supposed to end up in the final code.
I'm using ASPRunner 7.0 pro.
Am I changing the wrong thing? Missing something?
