Hi

I would like to create an admin user that can alias as a user so that the master details page comes up as the other user.

Is there a simple way to do this so that as an admin I can become user 1 from a dropdown box and pass it to the session variable?

No, there is no way to do that. The best option is to log out and log in again as another user.
