I recently upgraded to PHPR 6.2. When I went to upload some changes using Upload via FTP, PHPR uploaded a few files and then hung up. I would then have to use Task Manager to close the program. Yes, I could upload the files using an external FTP program, but it was inconvenient especially knowing which were the changed files. I tried various options to get ftp upload to work, but with no success.
After some research and experimentation, I discovered that the problem was my antivirus program that I had also upgraded about a week ago. It appears that BitDefender 2013 (for some unknown reason) interferes with the PHPR ftp upload function. Once I uninstalled BD 2013, the PHPR ftp worked normally. I installed another antivirus program (VIPRE) on my Windows 7 Professional computer. Initial tests indicate that this antivirus program does NOT interfere with the FTP upload in PHPRunner.
I thought I would post this to save someone else hours of aggravation and time if they encounter the same problem.

PS. I should mention that temporarily disabling BD did NOT solve the problem. I had to completely uninstall BD for PHPR ftp to work.
