I would like to scan barcodes into different fields. The problem I am having is it seems like everytime I scan in a barcode in the add page there is a carriage return function. It thus tries to add the page before I am done entering data. Is there anyway I can make a carriage return tab down to the next field rather than submit and try to add the entry? Thanks
Also how do I make certain fields read only with text in it? For example right now I can use default value in a TEXT field, but a user can still change that value. Is it possible to make it just say like "ABC" but make it not editible but still be able to view it in the edit page? thanks

hi or is there anyway I can just turn off the carriage return function. Like make it submit only if its clicked by the mouse and not by when I hit the enter button?
