Freeze Header List in List Page

Hi All, I would like to the freeze the header row of in the _list.php page so it stays on the page when scrolling many records (more than 20). It would be great to freeze this like excel.
I saw a Javascript implementation like this at http://acatalept.com/common/test/fixed-table.html but I am having trouble wrapping it around the smarty tags.
