Custom Menu Editor (Open in Popup)

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to add a new link in the Menu Editor and open it in 'Pop-up' mode
just like 'Adding/Editing/Viewing a Record' that has its 'Pop up' feature enabled.
Are there any alternatives to achieve this?
I know it is possible to add a new link and open it in a 'New Window' but opening it in 'Pop-up' is much faster and eye=catchy to end-users.
