How to push the footer on the bottom of the page

Some PhpRunner pages (like the login page) have little content and the footer stands in the middle and it's looking bad.
How can I make it go down ? I have tried some hacks that I found online but could not get them to work.
Anyone been through this before ?

If I correctly understand you..... To move the footer down, in the editor, just put in some "Enter" keys, to put more white space between the top and where you want the footer to be.

Well yes, but there are other pages with full content, where the footer should show just under the content...
