login filter

I am beginning development of a project management system. Each project is assigned to a specific company location. Let's call that designation field as "branch". Users are also assigned to specific locations via a branch field. What we would like to do is tie the 2 together so that users automatically see only the jobs assigned to their branch. Any assistance or suggestions are appreciated.
