I found this thread because I also want not the child link to be shown in the first column of the list page:

http://www.asprunner.com/forums/topic/10773-hide-child-link/
However, if I follow the suggested post, I do not understand what this post have to do with the question and therefore this is no solution for me (or I am too stupid)....
Can I disable the first column in list view, where I can see the child links?
Thanks and sorry - I do not wanna bother you.

I guess you need to explain what exactly you trying to achieve. Not really clear.

I am sorry.

I'll try it with a picture (more than 1000 words...)

"Collections" ist my maintable

"Collection items" is the child
The child "collection items(3)" is shown in the third row, before "Collection Name", "Collection Layout", etc.

I did not found a simple way to hide this entry. I have insert the same link from the childes in the row "collection Name" and do not need to show the childes in the third row as you can reach the childes with the link under "Collection Name" => I want to disable / hide the third row.
Hope this makes things clear?

Thank you,

I see what you saying. You might be confusing rows (horizontal) and columns (vertical) though.
I guess the easiest way is to delete the column with child links in Visual Editor.

i agree with Admin but if there are other issues and you really want to hide rather than remove the column see http://www.asprunner.com/forums/topic/16952-hiding-columns/

which i just updated

@Admin: Uhhh.... Sorry again.

Rows and Columns are a pain in my neck since school. No idea why....
@duck:

Have to take a closer look at this later. Thanks for updating.
I really try to avoid deleting things in the templates...
Again thanks.

I am really impressed about the software, this kind of great support and about a community which well-deserved this name.
