Every time I start a new design, I look to see what's been done before, see where the frameworks are at, what modules are available, what's happening with HTML5 and so on. What just struck me about PHPR/ASPR is there is no user contributions of whole working applications, like the supplied Templates.
There are many generic type database applications, such as: Wikis, forums (like this), photo albums, cms's, project management systems, dating sites, real estate, auction and classified ads, event diaries, veteranary systems, library systems, and so on.
What I am proposing is that the forum operators/developers add a facility to enable upload/downloading of whole working user/community designed applications using PHPR/ASPR. This would involve a packaging mechanism just like the Templates. But user contributed Templates. A packaged application is downloaded into a subdirectory and shows up in a list inside PHPR/ASPR like the Templates, one click and the database is created, populated with test data, the scripts are generated, and Bob's your uncle. I know the "one click" is a bit optimistic <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=question&id=16957&image=1&table=forumtopics' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
User Templates can then be discussed and rated, solicit suggestions, just like the many user contributed modules or addon software in the world.

I'll be posting a few ideas about template exchange area in our company blog in a day or two.
