Add Button.

1. Add a Help button so that it shows up on all them menu bars (the bar at the top of each page that says "logged in as"),
   
2. It seemed that I had to add it to each page,
   
3. I was editing one list page and made an error so I hit Reset This Page - all my changes were gone - totally. I thought it would just reset my current changes. I looked over th help file and it really didn't indicate this (I may have missed it).
   So my questions I guess ar:
   
4. How can I add a button so it shows up on all the bars without having to edit each page's HTML,
   
5. Is there a way (other than zipping the project before each edit) to not erase all my previous changes?
   Forgive me if these are silly, but I am new to this and only have about 12 days or so before I have to purchase. I am a little nervous about the above scenarios as it may cause me grief in the future.
   I've probably missed something in help file, but I scowered this forum, the on line tutorials (which are very helpful), but nothing about what I want to do, specifically add a button to all pages without having to edit each one.

Adding a "help" button...

Go to the "menu builder" and a link, change the type to "external page" and link it to a page, this way it will show up in the menu bar.

As Maurits mentions you can either add a link to the menu or add this link to header (Header file can be edited in Visual Editor).

I actually gave the Header file a try before posting, but had a bit of a problem with that guy. I placed the header and footer files (header and footer.asp) in the output Project Oirectory. When I published, I had to copy the files over. That's not a biggy (I mean copying is easy - no...). But the footer always displayed directly below the last cotents displayed on the page (for example directly below the log in box), instead of at the foot of the page. So thinking that I was still too new at this I decided to try the menu link.
Now that works quite well, but I was kinda hoping to use some sort of button (mostly because I am using the Tabbed Interface) and didn't want the user to nav away from the current listing.
But I'm sure that this can be done, just more learning and playing.
And cause I'm greedy, are there any thoughts regarding the "Reset this page" in the editor. I used a lot of formatting and when I click on the reset this page, everything has to be redone. Is there one of the template pages I can save so as to not loose these edits?
Again, thank you for the help. This is pretty awesome and I hope we can learn enough in the next week to convince the powers that be to use this guy in our future work.

You may want to create a copy of any existing layout and customize it your way.
Layouts can be found in C:\Program Files\ASPRunnerPro6.3\templates\layouts directory.
