Database time out

My client's database is coming along, but it seems that some people using the database are utilizing skype to get their info and the database is timing out on them. They are complaining, so it was asked of me to increase this time out time. I thought perhaps it was a php or mysql setting, so I contacted the hosting company and they informed me it would have to be phprunner.
How do I increase the timeout time?

You need to explain what kind of timeout we talking about. Is that a script timeout, session timeout, database connection timeout etc?

Not sure - they did not say. But from what they describe, I believe it is a session time out.

You need to ask for more details.
PHP session timeout can be increased in php.ini file.
