Basic search

Hi there,
I could swear I've seen this before somewhere in this forum, but can't find it again. If searching via the search panel with basic search options (contains, any field) for a string or a number and the table contains any date or time fields, an error will be raised because no explicit type cast is applied. What can one do to circumvent this? Quick search is not an option in this application. In 5.1, you could configure basic search and extended search separately. This has gone in 5.2 where search (basic and extended) and quick search can be configured.
Thanks

Needs to see your files and database in order to answer this question.
Post your application to Demo Account and open a ticket at http://support.xlinesoft.com sending your Demo Account URL. 'Demo Account' button can be found on the last screen in the program.

Sergey,
thanks. In the meantime I've found the needed workaround here:

Sergey,
I noticed that the feature in question used to work fine in PHPRunner 5.1. The mentioned workaround in fact is a less-than-ideal solution. Is there any chance of "backporting" this part to the working 5.1 code? I also noticed that this code seems to be unchanged in 5.3.
Thanks

Sergey,
sorry for the delay in answering this one. However, I can't upload the application because (as always with our apps) the database is accessible only via localhost.
Thanks

Admin 11/15/2010

Did you try to actually upload it?

Sergey,
thanks for the offer. But to my knowledge about demo account (and what the manual says) :

"Currently supported databases are MS Access, SQL Server, MySQL."
The project is, however, built using PostgreSQL. So how can we proceed?
Thanks
Wolfgang

In case of Postgre you can send your project files and database directly to us.
