HI,
Here am facing problem in getting the default value to the combobox.
In ADD/EDIT and Advance Searach option if have one combox to list all the clients. I have done all the mapping in Edit as visual tab.

  1. selected Look Table.. in the Mapped all the Table, link field, display field, order by..and no condition (where), checked Allow to add new values on the fly option..
    and checked that.. it fails to show the "Please Select" as defalut option in ADD/EDIT and search pages
    and then i given "Default value to this control in this formatted "Please Select" in Edit as setting window. checked the apply on the edit pages as well check box also.
    result i got this done in ADD and edit page.. but in search page.. is show the table value (ie.. 10th column value from the mapped table) instead of showing "Please Select"..
    anybody can help me out in this???.. please..

Hi,
unfortunately default values won't work on the search page.

You can assign default values on the advanced search page editing generated ..._search.asp file manually.

thanks for your information.. Still am getting the values from table mapped to the combobox..but the "please Select" option in PageLoad..
Please somebody help me on this.. i just got strucked here.

you need to post your application to Demo Account and open a ticket at http://support.xlinesoft.com sending your Demo Account URL. 'Demo Account' button can be found on the last screen in the program.
