I may have missed something, but how do you remove columns in the detail popup preview - detail records for a master table?
I see in the manual that it says to do so in the Visual Editor, but I don't see an obvious way to do that. Do I just go into html mode and delete the columns in the table?
It seems there might be a way to do it somewhere else by just checking/unchecking fields as is done for fields to apppear on various pages.

It can be done only on the Visual Editor tab. Choose Details preview in the list of pages and use the button Delete Columns in Design mode.

I had tried that. The fields are displayed in the yellow boxes across the row in the design preview window. I select one of those and it puts the little selected boxes around it. Then I click the Delete Columns icon in the left menu bar and nothing happens. Sorry if I'm being dense, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

please make sure you don't click the Delete Columns icon for the yellow box. You should do it for the whole column. Try to click near the box.

Before I was clicking the box, then delete.
