In an Inline Add or Inline Edit situation, when having a "edit as" field set to "read only" and a default value set -for example: $values["Submitted_By"]=$_SESSION["UserID"]; - that field (the default value) does not get written to the database, however, when adding or editing through the typical add/edit page, the value is then added to the database.

I have a soimilar situation where I want the default value "Awaiting Payment" written into a readonly field, but it does not do it. It's a normal add page, not even inline add.
Any help?

Stephan,
It's difficult to tell you what's happening without seeing actual files.
